Mozambique beckons the exploratory traveler with its heady appeal which embraces Afro-Portugese culture, pristine palm-lined beaches, and world-class scuba diving and fishing.

With its 1,500-mile coastline fringed by one of the most extensive coral reefs in the world, Mozambique remains one of the world’s best-kept secrets waiting to be discovered. Offshore, the unspoiled Bazaruto and Quirimbas Archipelagos offer some of the finest big game fishing, diving, and snorkeling in the world.

Some of Our Favorite Camps

Bazaruto Archipelago
Located on magical Bazaruto Island, Indigo Bay Lodge and Spa offers 5-star luxury with a world-class spa and air-conditioned chalets overlooking unspoilt beaches. Relax in the lap of luxury or enjoy a range of activities – snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, water skiing, dune boarding, horse riding and guided island drives.

On the adjacent Ilha de Benguerra, the small and intimate Benguerra Lode offers genuine hospitality, personalized service and a laid back East African Arabic feel. Benguerra is passionate about the natural environment and dedicated to the involvement of the local community.

Quirimbas Archipelago
Set within the stunning Quirimbas Archipelago in far northern Mozambique, Matemo Island represents the quintessential tropical island paradise. Each luxurious palm-thatched chalet nestles on the beach within yards of the sea, whilst for active guests, a complete range of water activities is on offer.

With its understated elegance, Vamizi Island Lodge offers beautifully appointed beach villas on a breathtaking Quirimbas island. Surrounded by a pristine marine wilderness, you can enjoy romantic seclusion here on one of the earth’s most exquisite and unexplored islands.
